Katrin Ramsey

Katrin L Ramsey PT DSc CLT CAPP-OB

  • Katrin completed her Doctor of Science degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2007 and her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1985.
  • She completed the Duke Leadership Program in Integrative Healthcare in 2019.
  • She is one of the 178 physical therapists currently practicing in the US awarded a Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy/Postpartum Physical Therapy.
  • Prior to opening Integral Health Physical Therapy PC, she successfully owned and operated an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice in Franklin Lakes NJ for 22 years. 
  • Following the sale of her practice, she was later employed as a clinical supervisor/instructor at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) where she additionally served on the HSS Rehabilitation Clinical Competency Committee.

  • Katrin joined Russell Sage Colleges in 2019 as an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy. She teaches second-year DPT students Orthopedics (PTY-612/613 Patient and Client Management of Musculoskeletal Systems). Her research interests include integrative medicine, women's health, sports medicine and oncology.

    The Terry Cannizzaro Award highlighted a full-time faculty member who showed awareness of their discipline-related activities to participation in multiple organizations and regular engagement with department faculty and students regarding discipline-related trends, and professional activities. In deciding the award, the committee chose an individual who provided a substantial contribution to positive change in programs at Russell Sage College in keeping with the college's mission and values. The award winner is a role model, open communicator, and excellent advisor. The chosen individual demonstrates outstanding teaching skills, as evidenced by creativity and engagement of students. In addition, they use innovative technologies or teaching methods, research, or other involvement with students beyond the classroom.
